The group Teen Aid UK includes two singers from Worthing, one from Porstlade and another from Hove.

They were brought together to produce a cover version of Take That’s Shine and are hoping to raise £1,000 for the BBC appeal.

Organiser Emma Finlay-Smith said she had the idea to support her daughter Izzy, a young singer songwriter.

“Also, I am a bit of a Band Aid fan and I thought it would be good for them to do something similar,” she explained.

She asked singing school Vocademy to put her in touch with their best pupils and formed a band of 14 teenagers from across the south.

Among them are Shoreham College student Al Tennent, who lives in Worthing, Durrington High student Christelle Lamb and Lily Armstrong from Porstlade.

Izzy from Hove is seen on the video singing to the charity mascot, Pudsey.

Emma said they had been invited by the Children in Need team to the Southampton studio and she hoped they would appear on November 14, via a satellite link.

Shine is on iTunes or visit www.justgiving.com/TeenAidUK to donate.
