The children were also able to visit the restaurant’s kitchen to watch the food being prepared.

They had the opportunity to see what kind of ingredients were used to make the dishes they tasted and how they were cooked.

Mrs Monica Collins, year-four class teacher, accompanied the children on the visit to the restaurant.

She said that the trip really enhanced the children’s learning of their topic and gave them essential hands-on experience.

On returning to school the next day, the children said it was the “best school trip that they had ever been on”.
