Members of Young Wick, part of Wick Theatre Company, will perform the play at the Barn, in Southwick Street, Southwick, on April 3 and 4 at 8pm.

A group of students venture deep into the woods, preparing to shoot a film for their school project, inspired by the local legend of the youngest-ever witch.

Four centuries earlier, a gang of teenagers are gathering in the same woods, determined to uncover the truth - is there really a witch in their midst?

The children in both centuries are drawn deeper into events, which begin to spiral out of control as past and present threaten to collide.

Isabelle Fink, who is directing the play with Zoey Attree, said: “It is an unsettling tale of witchcraft, film-making and practical jokes gone wrong.

“The talented young cast bring to life the story as legend and history intertwine.”
