The West Sussex Downs Diabetes UK support group meets in Lancing and Steyning, with the aim of helping people to manage their diabetes.

A spokesman for the group explained: “We do this primarily through group meetings, designed with the express purpose of providing individuals with a safe, social forum to discuss diabetes and its effects.

“We also aim to raise awareness of diabetes, raise funds for our own activities and research into diabetes by our parent organisation, Diabetes UK and to support children and young adults cope with diabetes as they grow, leave home and make life-changing choices.”

The next meetings are on Thursday, February 26, at the Steyning Centre, 7pm to 9pm, and Thursday, March 12, at Lancing Methodist Hall, 10.30am to 12.30pm.
