“The streets are going to be alive with colour and activity for an all-ages fancy dress party.”

Schools, community groups and local artists will be out in force on the big carnival day.

In Shoreham, there will be a real ale bar, craft workshops in the yurt and a chance to have a picture taken in the Strange Creature Zoo.

There is a live graffiti workshop in the Shoreham Centre with Zz Twenty Two from 11.30am to 5.30pm, sock puppet and costume-make workshops at Shoreham Library from 1pm to 3pm and a host of street entertainment from 2.30pm to 7pm.
