The So and Sews group produced the rich, colourful and exciting piece to celebrate the work of the agency which organises nearly 65 events a year, bringing together representatives from the worlds of politics, academia, diplomacy, business, civil society, the military and the media.

The organisation has been a not-for-profit agency of the Foreign Office since 1991.

The community has now been given a one-off opportunity to view the textile at Steyning Grammar School’s learning resource centre, in Shooting Field, on Monday between 4.30pm and 7.30pm.

The textile will be on show alongside an accompanying display which shows the 18-month preparation, workshops and making process.

It will then be unveiled at Wiston House, in Steyning Road, its final home, at the end of the month.
