Steyning Friends holds charity pizza and pop night

AS part of Children’s Hospice Week, the Steyning Friends of Chestnut Tree House are holding a pizza and pop event on Sunday, June 22, at Steyning Cricket Club from 5pm until 10pm.

There will be home-made, wood-fired pizzas served up with live music, games, pottery painting, face painting and a raffle.

Carolyn Slingsby from the Steyning Friends said, “The Pizza Oven owners, Helen Kerr and Emma Rogers, not only make delicious pizzas but, like the Steyning Friends, are staunch supporters of Chestnut Tree House, having raised a fantastic £689 for the hospice last year.

“Thanks to the warm-hearted residents of Steyning, our events are always well supported but we would love to welcome lots of people from outside the village to join us for an evening of family fun and fundraising for a very worthy local cause.”

The Steyning Friends is a group that is passionate about supporting Chestnut Tree House, the children’s hospice for Sussex.

Caroline Roberts-Quigley, fundraiser for Chestnut Tree House, said: “I would like to say a huge thank you to the Steyning Friends for all their hard work and dedication.”

Tickets are £3 and under 16s go free. They are available from The Steyning Bookshop, or on 01903 812062.
