Steyning residents proved to be hot for their local firefighters as topless calendar sales managed to raise big money for charity.
The crew at Steyning’s retained fire station on High Street were thrilled to see £1,055 raised from their revealing Fire Fighter Charity Calendar 2015.

All funds will be split between three charities, Fire Fighters Charity, Cancer Research and mental health charity Mind.
On Monday (June 8), the crew assembled to present a cheque to Richard Broady of Fire Fighters Charity, which aims to enhance quality of life for serving and retired firefighters, personnel and their families.
Crew manager Richard Poole said it was ‘great fun’ and ‘very enjoyable’ for the team.
“We even had our partners involved with make up, it was a real family event,” said Mr Poole.
“We didn’t want to go too far with it, but because it was for such a good cause and there was a lot of encouragement the guys just went out and did it.”
The calendar, which was sponsored by a number of local businesses, was unveiled during a special late night Christmas shopping event in Steyning last year.
It featured photographs of the firefighters, some with their fire kit on and some stripped to their waist, alongside seasonal fire and road safety messages.
“It’s been such a good return for us to gain that sort of money. We may do it again later this year,” he added.
The calendar is still being sold by the Steyning Fire Station at open days and other events.
