Spring concert in Fishersgate

FISHERSGATE Community Choir is holding a spring concert, featuring a mix of repertoire, old and new.

The choir was formed in January 2013 to encourage people to sing, inspired by Gareth Malone’s TV programmes at the time.

Organiser Sarah Erskine said: “We started encouraging people who wanted to have a go and learn to sing as part of a group.

“We advertised and recruited through the Second Chance charity shop in Fishersgate and we meet in the Lighthouse Community Church, in St Aubyns Road, Fishersgate, on Thursday eveings in term time.

“We are always open to new members”.

The spring concert will be on Thursday, May 22, at the Fishersgate Centre at 7.30pm.
