Selection of short films presented

SPECTACULAR Scottish scenery delighted members of Shoreham Buckingham Townswomen's Guild during a film presentation at their November meeting.

The meeting, at St Giles Church hall, Upper Shoreham Road, Shoreham, began with a business session and notices, including a final reminder of arrangements for the Christmas lunch.

A presentation followed by South Downs Film Makers, an amateur club which started in Shoreham and now meets twice a month at Ferring Village Hall.

They showed travelogue in the Highlands of Scotland, featuring spectacular scenery, and gave information about the historic places visited.

Next were short comedy films and a drama, finishing with an interesting film about Ferring Country Centre, a charity helping people with learning difficulties.

The next Shoreham Buckingham Townswomen’s Guild meeting is Wednesday, January 8, in St Giles Church hall at 2.30pm. Speaker Ms Whitmell will give a the talk on glass engraving.
