Safety tips given after Littlehampton chip ban blaze
Careful cooking your chips. That’s the message firefighters in Littlehampton are giving following a chip pan blaze which hospitalised one man.
The fire took place Thursday evening (November 29) at a flat in St Winifride’s Road.
Officers are reminding people to never throw water over a chip pan fire as it could cause a fireball.
If there is a fire, you should turn off all cookers only if safe to do so and to always call 999 in an emergency.
