Roads to be resurfaced

WORKS to improve road surfaces in Worthing, Lancing, Shoreham and Arundel are set to take place in August and September.

West Sussex County Council will work through the night to carry out resurfacing work in an attempt to avoid major disruption.

Resurfacing work will begin in Richmond Road, Worthing, tonight and is scheduled to finish on Friday.

Workmen will then tackle North Road, Lancing, from Wednesday, September 9, until Friday, September, 11. Upper Shoreham Road, Shoreham, will also be resurfaced, between New Barn Road to Hammy Lane, on September 11.

High Street, Arundel, will then be resurfaced from Monday, September 14, until Thursday, September 17.

Contractor Balfour Beatty will aim to complete noisier works before 11pm.

Signed diversion routes will be in place for each location.
