Residents encouraged to take snaps of Sussex for charity calendar

Last month, print specialists Evonprint launched their Love Sussex calendar campaign to raise money for Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice.

The family run business asked residents to nominate their favourite beauty spot, town or city in Sussex and the top 12 have now been chosen by the public.

For the next stage of the competition the company is asking residents to go out to one of the 12 locations and take a picture showing why the area is beautiful to them.

The best entries will be used in the charity calender with a full credit and the winners will also receive a hamper worth £150.

This years locations include:

l Chanctonbury Hill

l Bury Hill

l Tilgate Park,

l Chichester Cathedral

l Long Furlong

l Petworth Deer Park

l The Doughnut Sculpture on Brighton Beach

l Cuckmere Haven,

l St Leonards Beach,

l Goring Beach

l Kingley Vale

l Bosham

Sussex residents can also get involved by providing Evonprint with a caption about one of the 12 locations.

If chosen to accompany an image the winner will receive a free calendar.

Steve Rowland, managing director at Evonprint, said:“We would like to thank everyone who took the time to nominate a Sussex location – it was extremely difficult to choose the top 12 to appear in the calendar as there are so many beautiful spots in this county.

“We are very much looking forward to seeing all the photographs submitted and raising money for Chestnut Tree House.”

The calendar will be sold in local Chestnut Tree House shops and on Evonprint’s website to raise money for the children’s hospice which provides specialist care to 300 children and young people with life-shortening and life-threatening illnesses across the south coast.

The deadline to submit photographs and quotes is Monday August 31 and all entries need to be emailed to lovesussex@pmwcom.co.uk or posted to Evonprint’s Love Sussex Competition, c/o PMW Communications, Stane Court, Stane Street, Billingshurst, West Sussex RH14 9HP.
