Power supply problems between Wandsworth Common and Clapham Junction are causing delays of up to 90 minutes to trains and a reported broken down train at West Worthing station is adding to the disruption.

Three out of four of Southern’s lines at Clapham junction are currently blocked as a result.

Gatwick Express services are currently unable to run and disruption is expected to continue until 12pm.

David Kenyon, stranded at Worthing Station, said: “The station is slowly filling up with people.

“All they keep saying is there’s disruption at Clapham Junction.

“We haven’t got a joined-up system and unfortunately staff don’t seem to know what is going on. I use trains quite often and I’m always late.”
