The concert on Sunday, September 18, will be conducted by former Lancing College student John Gibbons and will see the premiere of Requiem by Mr Jenkins.

Mr Gibbons has worked with the Royal Opera House, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Opera Holland Park, and will be joined on the evening by the Apollo Voices, who regularly sing with the BBC Symphony Orchestra.

Karl Jenkins has enjoyed tremendous success with Palladio, Adiemus and The Armed Man, and his music has also been used to advertised De Beers diamonds and BMW Romeo.

Headmaster Peter Tinniswood commented: "We are thrilled to have the Sussex premiere of this marvellous new work in the perfect setting of our magnificent chapel.

"With Karl Jenkins' composition, and the reputation of both choir and orchestra, we are in for a wonderful Sunday afternoon."

The concert starts at 2.30pm and tickets cost 20. Box office: 01273 465786 or 01844 346558.
