West Sussex County Council officials included in Town Hall Rich List 2012

WEST Sussex County Council officials have been included in the Tax Payers’ Alliance’s Town Hall Rich List 2012, published today (Wednesday, April 25).

The figures, published annually by the campaign group, list all council officials earning more than £100,000 per year.

The 2012 rich list details pay in the financial year 2010/11.

It shows 17 county officials in the rich list received a pay rise from 2009/10, one remained on the same salary, two received a pay cut and five roles were stopped or dropped below £100,000.

The 19 job roles at West Sussex County Council earning more than £100,000 in 2010/11 are as follows:

Mark Hammond, chief executive, 2009/10 £266,470, 2010/11 £397,232, 49.07 per cent increase;

Kieran Stigant, chief executive, 2009/10 £183,342, 2010/11 £207,693, 13.28 per cent increase, (because of a change in chief executive the role is listed twice):

The director of the FSR Programme dropped out of the list after taking a 49.89 per cent pay cut from £118,503 in 2009/10 to £59,387 in 2010/11.

All figures are provided by the Tax Payers’ Alliance. Because they are based on the previous tax year some roles may since have been removed or decreased in salary.
