The deadline for applications to start in reception at primary or infant school is midnight tonight (Friday January 15). Parents/carers of children currently in Year 2 at infant school should also apply for a place at junior school.

Nigel Jupp, West Sussex County Council’s Cabinet Member for Education & Skills, said: “Parents and carers who return their applications on time have a far greater chance of receiving a preference place then those who miss the deadline. So I would urge anyone yet to apply to do so as soon as they are able to.”

Children born between September 1, 2016 and August 31, 2017 will be eligible to start primary or infant school next September.

The quickest and easiest way to apply is online where people can find all of the information they need.

Those unable to apply online should call the admissions team on 033 301 42903.
