Conservatives Tim Lloyd and Michael Willett will be Steyning and Ashurst’s representatives at the authority replacing Tory Sue Rogers and independent George Cockman, who both stepped down as councillors prior to the election.

Mr Willett said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be elected and looking forward to serving the people of Steyning.”

Mr Lloyd added: “It’s a great night for the Conservatives and for Steyning as we have increased the vote and we can now work hard on behalf of the whole community of Steyning and Ashurst.”
