The two-week event began on Monday February 29 and has seen the council’s staff restaurants feature an extended range of Fairtrade options, while its also has organised Fairtrade breakfasts at its Chichester, Horsham and Bognor Regis offices.

Fairtrade products have been developed with the aim of helping farmers from developing countries get a fair price for their goods and labour, and allows smaller farms to compete with industrial scale businesses.
