Police seek witnesses to Glorious Goodwood tickets theft

A THEFT investigation has bailed three men after a number of Glorious Goodwood tickets were stolen.

“They were taken from the ticket collection point at the downland racecourse, part of the Goodwood estate, between midday and 12.30pm on Saturday (August 1),” said a police spokesman, who described the theft as ‘a large number of tickets’.

“Investigating officers believe that some people among crowds thronging to the event may have seen the theft taking place,” he added.

Three men, all from London, were arrested in connection with the incident, questioned and bailed until September 15 pending further enquiries.

A 45-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft and money laundering, a 21-year-old man on suspicion of theft and a 20-year-old man on suspicion of handling stolen goods.
