Police confirm tragic death of one-year-old in Findon Valley

A one-year-old boy from Findon Valley sadly died this afternoon, police have said.

In a statement, Sussex Police said paramedics were called to a private address at about 12.30pm today (June 24), with police arriving at about 1pm.

A police spokesman said they were called to the scene 'following concerns for the welfare of a one-year-old boy'.

They added: "The boy was taken to hospital by ambulance staff where he sadly died.

"Full circumstances surrounding the death are being investigated and the matter has been passed to the coroner's officer.

"Next of kin have been informed and support is being provided to the family."

The air ambulance was also seen landing in and taking off from fields nearby.
