A jet-skier has captured the moment a playful pod of up to 15 dolphins followed him along the Shoreham coast.

Nick Coleman, who is currently staying with his parents in Shoreham, came across the creatures while he was out ‘blasting around’ on his jetski on Tuesday.

He said he was halfway between Shoreham and Brighton went he saw a ‘little splash’ and spotted the dolphins.

“I didn’t know what to do, I didn’t want to hurt them or anything,” he said.

“I just sat there and they got comfortable and wanted to play.”

He started up the jetski again and was followed by the dolphins jumping around in the spray for around half an hour in total.

Some were babies while some were ‘massive’, bigger than the jetski itself, he said, joking that they were ‘definitely not social distancing’.

“It was pretty awesome,” he said.
