The coastguards said on Twitter they met up with Worthing Beach Office and checked various access points on the seafront and at the River Adur.

The patrol comes after lockdown restrictions have recently been eased by the government, and pictures show people have been out enjoying ice-cream, riding their bikes, and walking in the sunshine.
