With the help of Shoreham and Southwick Rotary Club, Santa Claus will be coming to town on Monday and, weather permitting, plans to get round to as many households as possible in the run up to Christmas.

Rotarians are unable to do their usual annual house-to-house collection, due to Covid-19 restrictions, but they say that will not stop them bringing Santa and his sleigh to see everyone.

The aim is to cover all of Shoreham, with routes and locations posted in advance on the club’s Facebook page.

A JustGiving page is being set up and the club hopes people will still donate this way, so it can continue to help other local charities, clubs and organisations.

On Christmas Eve, Santa will also be out delivering Christmas meals and presents donated by The Bridge public house and members of the community for those on their own on Christmas Day.
