Residents in Shoreham and Southwick made the most of the fine weather on Friday and celebrated the 75th anniversary of VE Day with social distancing street parties.

There as tea, cake and music for people in Tarragon Way, Shoreham, and a happy time for all in Southview Road, Southwick. Frampton Place, Shoreham, is a small close, so residents there were able to have a very successful Stay At Home Street Party. Wendy Blann said: “All the houses put up bunting, we all set up picnics in our front gardens and we were able to play bingo, quizzes and some home-crafted village fete style games from our own gardens. A great time was had by all.”
