Remy, a two-year-old basset, fell from the height onto concrete and was immediately taken to Crossways Veterinary Group in School Hill, Storrington.

Harriet described it as a ‘miracle’ and added: “We and Remy’s owners are astounded that Remy survived his fall with only a couple of minor injuries.

“Due to the hot weather at the moment all of us are opening up windows in our homes more. Please be aware to remove any tables, chairs or other furniture that could give pets access to the window.”

Remy, who had been rescued from Wadars animal rescue charity in Worthing just eight weeks earlier, was fit enough to go home to Steyning the next day.
