MORE than 20 roaring motorcyclists led the funeral procession for fellow biker and Shoreham Airshow victim Mark Trussler, whose funeral took place this afternoon (Tuesday).

Family and friends gathered at The Kingswood Chapel in Worthing Crematorium to say goodbye to the dad-of-six from Worthing.

The rain poured as the hearse arrived, the motorcyclists disbanding. The family were greeted by friends with hugs, tears and kind words.

Flower tributes spelling out ‘fiancé’ and ‘daddy’ surrounded the wicker casket, which was carried into the chapel to the song ‘There You’ll Be’ by Faith Hill, followed by almost 100 mourners.

At the service, a tribute was made to the 54-year-old by his cousin, Kenny Trussler.

Celebrant Terri Shanks read out tributes on the behalf of Mark’s sisters Bobbie and Cara, daughter Samantha, fiancé Giovanna Chirico and friend Andrew Hebenthen.

Songs by The Hollies, George Thorogood & The Destroyers and The Smashing Pumpkins were also featured in the service.

Mark, a window cleaner, had taken his motorbike for a spin to Shoreham as he wanted to see the last flight of the Vulcan at the airshow on Saturday, August 22.
