College students complete 874 mile run to raise funds to help the homeless

Students from the college completed the Land’s End to John O’Groats distance and raised more than £1,000 to help the homeless.

The team from Teme House, which houses 65 boys, ran the distance collectively, with students from as far as Hong Kong taking part.

Isac Ingemarsson, Lancing College charity rep, said: “The hope was to raise £874 and awareness for Turning Tides.

“In the last week of term, the boys reached their goal and completed the 874 miles and in doing so, surpassed the £874 target, raising £1,145 for Turning Tides.”

Sophie Moore, Turning Tides’ school and youth fundraising officer, said: “We are always delighted to be a chosen charity by local fundraisers, such as this brilliant effort from Lancing College.”
