Pensioners’ fair to be held by MP

EAST Worthing and Shoreham MP Tim Loughton will host a pensioners’ fair in Worthing tomorrow.

After last year’s successful fair at Lancing Parish Hall, Mr Loughton is making the event a regular feature in his constituency calendar.

The fair, in the Guildbourne Centre in Worthing, from 10am to 3pm, will cover a range of issues that affect pensioners, from concerns on health to heating and housing.

A variety of organisations will set up stalls and representatives will be on hand to talk to residents and hand out information.

Mr Loughton said: “I am excited that this pensioners’ fair will be bigger than ever. We have a larger venue and more organisations.

“The location in central Worthing means we are expecting to attract more attendees than ever before. I will be there all day and be on hand to answer any queries that I can deal with as MP.”

So far, the list of organisations attending includes Adur Voluntary Action, Adur Online Learners, Adur Community Alarm Scheme, Sussex Police, Age UK, Carers Support, Adur and Worthing councillors, Worthing Homes, Guild Care, Alzheimer’s Society, Royal Voluntary Service, Southern Water, National Energy Action and Freedom Powerchairs.
