Parking bans introduced in Shoreham and Lancing.

The Adur County Local Committee has given the go ahead for “no waiting at any time” restrictions to be installed.

Angie Mills, committee chairman, said: “This will be monitored and further action will be taken if the parking bay does not prove to be sufficient in solving the problem.”

The restrictions will cover:

Buckingham Road and Nicolson Drive, Shoreham: No Waiting at Any Time restriction on the north side of Nicolson Drive, as far as its junction with The Martlets.

A 1.8m (about six feet) wide parking bay will also be created in Buckingham Road so drivers will have to park close to the kerb and not exceed the bay’s width.

Grinstead Lane and Freshbrook Road, Lancing: No Waiting at Any Time restrictions on the north side of Freshbrook Road by the road bridge and close to the sharp bend and at the junction with Russells Road.
