Shame on you, Adur

SO, having pulled the plug on community transport, Adur District Council is now proposing to withdraw funding for the Dial-a-Ride service.

Once again, a small minority of our community is being discriminated against.

Not everybody is able to use the regular bus service, for various reasons, and this is why the Dial-a-Ride service, along with community transport, is so successful.

Last year, Dial-a-Ride carried out between 3,000 and 3,500 journeys for people with limited mobility in Adur, thus enabling them to go shopping, visit the doctor, etc.

For many of them, even getting into a car or taxi is impossible.

It would be reasonable to say that a lot of them rely on the service.

So, what chance of transport for them now? Shame on you, Adur.
