RIVERBANK: Keep up the good work in publicising scheme

THANK you for last week's and this week's articles giving much needed publicity on the proposed development of Riverbank Industrial Estate in Shoreham.

A development of 300 homes and an office block cannot be supported by a failing infrastructure.

The local post office is closing, four shops in Shoreham have closed, the Old Shoreham Road has no room for more traffic, the doctors have little time to spare for the current population, the nearest hospital is trying to escape closure, adult classes have been abandoned '“ and so it goes on.

This development will also ruin the riverside environment and cast planning blight around the neighbourhood.

I shall certainly go and view these plans and lodge a protest when they are put on the council's website.

Meanwhile, please can you keep up your good work in publicising the development as it progresses.
