RIVERBANK: But for the Herald, we would be totally in the dark

I HAVE just returned from Barcelona and, on my way home, I bought my copy of the Shoreham Herald.

Both my husband and I were horrified to read the headlines concerning the redevelopment of the riverbank, which involves building a huge number of new homes.

We have never received any leaflet through our letterbox about the plans, which is most annoying, given that we live right opposite the area.

And, because we were away, we could not view the exhibition of the plans on Saturday.

Having seen the massive urban sprawl that is engulfing modern Spain, we are very anxious about what is happening in Shoreham.

Why were the plans put on show for only one day? This has precluded us from seeing them.

As residents living close, we seem to have been kept well and truly in the dark.

It's only now, thanks to the Herald's coverage, that we know anything at all.
