Postal service is getting worse

Is it any wonder that people don't use the postal service!

Previously I have received letters with one half missing, torn off.

In the past week or so I have had letters returned in my morning post because they went through the franking machine back-to-front and were sent back to the sender’s address on the back. (If there were no sender’s address, they would probably be put in the ‘undeliverable’ bin.)

Wouldn’t you think someone somewhere would have the initiative to realise this was wrong and put letters back for franking on the front?

They are just delivered back to where they came from. Stamps cost a lot and the price is going up again. The Post Office has made holes in stamps to prevent them being re-used if they miss franking.

After all this, you should be able to expect that if you post a letter, it will be actually delivered to the intended recipient.

I am sending this by email because I want you, not me, to receive it.
