Plan for Beach Green site is characterless

Shoreham has a lovely medieval and port look about it with amazing houseboats and a sailing ship-building history.

We all talk about the fact that there is a restaurant/café missing, but it should look like a sailing ship, even if it is just the shape an old ship.

The picture you have printed (Herald June 21, p5)just shows a characterless modern building with no connection to Shoreham’s history and I can imagine how it will look in five years.

Why not ask the housboat artists how they would design it? I guess it would be just extraordinary and remarkable for tourists from everywhere.
