Not fit to run the railway

Having read the Herald on July 7 regarding '˜Are you fit to run this railway?' Charles Horton, chief executive officer at GTR is a banana boat to say it is fit to be running the railway.

Furthermore, it should be stripped of its franchise as the services fails the general public and is beyond a joke!

Guards are needed on trains for the vulnerable passengers especially at night times when drunks are on the train.
