Many thanks for your votes

My thanks to all of you who voted for me in the council elections for the Gaisford Ward, and congratulations to Val Turner on winning.

I realise that my votes were only due to people wishing to support UKIP. This is understandable with the Referendum so close, and of course if it wasn’t for UKIP we wouldn’t be having one.

One of the main issues is immigration. The animal kingdom has shown what this can cause. Our native red squirrels have been ousted by the grey ones. Now our own native people could well be over run by foreigners. The EU has just ordered us to build more houses and to accept even more immigrants. Unless we leave the EU to stop this happening the NHS will collapse, our schools won’t cope, traffic will hardly move and we might even end up with Sharia Law.

The EU fishing policy has restricted our fishing areas and the size of the catch. Any surplus, which of course is dead, has to be thrown back into the sea. So our fishing industry was ruined, the fish stock depleted and some breeds of fish are almost extinct.

As for agriculture a vast amount of British taxpayers money goes to subsidise inefficient EU farmers, money which we should be directing towards our own food production here in the UK.

They imposed Green taxes on our steel industry adding to the difficulty of competing with China who don’t pay them. They banned us from imposing Tariffs on China, so our steel industry was ruined.

The EU is acting like a totalitarian regime and trampling on the rights and wishes of ordinary citizens. They are in the process of banning chrome plating from 2107 for example. They have just decreed that it will be a criminal offence to criticise the EU, which is banning free speech just like Hitler did.

The EU tax system allows big firms to only pay tax in the countries where their name plate is. This means that in total they avoid paying billions of pounds in taxes which is why they are keen to stay in.

All the evidence shows that we are better off out of the EU, but David Cameron is trying to persuade gullible people that we are better off in. For all of our sakes don’t be one of them.
