Make saving elsewhere

THE article in the Shoreham Herald, of February 21, regarding the proposed withdrawal of funding for Adur Community Transport has been brought to my attention.

As secretary of the local group of Action for Dysphasic Adults (speakability), my immediate reaction is one of horror and disbelief that the district council should be considering this when Adur Community Transport provides such a wonderful service for disabled people.

In the case of our members, who suffer the additional problem of loss of speech, understanding and lack self-confidence following a stroke or head injury, this action can be described only as inhuman.

I would therefore suggest Adur council looks elsewhere for the saving of 90,000 within its budget.
