Major attractions?

WHILE the plans to regenerate Lancing are very comprehensive, they do not mention the two major attractions that already exist and which, with more publicity and better signage, would undoubtedly increase the number of visitors to the village and its shops.

Brooklands Pleasure Park has an extensive and ever-increasing array of attractions for parents and children and Widewater Lagoon and Nature Reserve is, without a doubt, a hidden treasure – thousands of people pass along Brighton Road every day without any idea of what a wonderful visitor experience lies behind the row of houses that they are driving past.

The major plans will, no doubt, prove costly but publicising the park and the lagoon will not and such action would play its part in putting Lancing back on the tourist map.
