LETTER: Show solidarity

Not many people usually agree with my views and that includes members of my own family!

Peter’s comments were altogether more articulate than my own but I’m hopeful that there are more than two people in the town who are on the same wavelength.

How can we show solidarity? Is it not possible for us to have a referendum to declare the opinions of the majority rather than relying on the members of the council to faithfully represent our views, especially when they have studiously ignored them during the 44 years I have lived in this town?
