Lessons to be learnt from disclosing RTA details, says Worthing MP

Information about confidential support on mental health is helpful when placed in reports of a person falling to death.

It would help if information of seat belt wearing is given together with the alcohol level of the driver, when known, in reports of car casualties.

If after the tragic Paris crash with three fatalities including Diana, the initial reports had confirmed the over-the-limit condition of the driver and that the only survivor was the sole occupant to have buckled up, throughout Europe we could have applied the lessons to ourselves, saving thousands of lives a year.

Sir Peter Bottomley

MP for Worthing West since 1997
