EU: taking our country back or moving our nation forward?

The embarrassing revelations last weekend that the Brexit camp has been employing EU workers in their call centres clearly demonstrates that even the '˜Outers' recognise the benefits of free movement of people.

Moving nation forward not back

Pulling up the drawbridge and turning our backs on Europe is neither the solution to today’s problems nor the patriotic thing to do, and nowhere does this ring truer than when it comes the economy.

Whether it’s defending the millions of jobs which currently rely on European investment and trade, or negotiating deep and comprehensive trade agreements around the world which attract more, our membership of the EU is central to the UK’s economic prosperity and development.

The Brexit camp talk about taking our country back, but the reality is that Britain should be taken forward. It’s down to those who share this opinion to make their voices heard in the run up to the referendum.

Together, we need to show that by playing a leading role in Europe, Britain is so much better off remaining in the EU.
