EU debate: Who's accountable for the outcome?

I think it's fair to say most people have now made up their minds about which way to vote in the forthcoming EU Referendum but I've heard very little said about accountability for the outcome.

Who is actually responsible if some of these blood curdling warnings come true when we have left the EU?

The younger today’s population are, the longer they will have to suffer the consequences.

These warnings are now coming from many parts of the world so one can only assume the effects of an exit could have adverse effects on people from other countries.

Is it democratic to impose our wishes on people who have had no say?
