Do we need more eating establishments in Worthing?

I am very unhappy to read that the trees are to be removed to make room for the new Montague Centre, if one listens to More our local radio an advert states that there are 150 eating establishments in Worthing area, why do we need more?

The town itself is a total mess. Coming from the east, you are greeted by the old unsightly Aquerina, from the north there is Teville Gate another unsightly mess.

On top of all this, there is the ongoing work in Montague Street which seems to be an unnecessary expense. It no longer appears to be a seaside town but is becoming a concrete jungle at the ratepayers’ expense.
