My husband and I live in High Salvington, in Honeysuckle Lane, so it takes a matter of minutes to arrive on our beautiful downs.

We accept that there will be a large number of walkers, dog walkers and joggers on the narrow paths, and everyone is prepared to stand to the side to keep their distance. We have both been told to observe strict social distancing, so this is extremely important to us.

However, we cannot walk on any path without cyclists racing past us, totally ignoring the need to self distance. It is with great regret and much resentment that we have decided to forego our walks there and to keep to wide streets and pavements.

It would be good if the council or the police could put up notices for cyclists reminding them that they are sharing the space with people on foot and to keep two metres apart.
