Once again, we were busier and cared for more people than ever before, but what made 2015/16 so different and potentially transformational for us was the Care Quality Commission inspection we underwent during the winter.

To emerge from the toughest examination any healthcare organisation can face as only the third acute trust in the country to be awarded the highest possible rating (Outstanding) was not just an incredible accolade for our 6,500 staff but also a huge vote of confidence in the strategies we have put in place for the future.

These plans and our ambitions to raise standards of care further still will be discussed at the meeting also, in particular with a talk from our medical director, Dr George Findlay, on the work teams are doing across the hospitals to prevent patients from falling.

We hope to welcome many people from the community to find out more. To reserve a place, please email [email protected] or telephone 01903 205111 ext. 84038.
