4Sight club assistant (Littlehampton) – 4Sight

Do you have some spare time on a fortnightly basis? 4Sight are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join their existing team of volunteers, to assist with the running of their Littlehampton Social Club for the Blind.

The Littlehampton club is one of numerous clubs around West Sussex, which offer vital social support for many individuals living with sight loss around the county.

You will: assist with the club, make tea and coffee, and assist with club visits and activities.

The club runs on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.

Recording technician – The Voice of Progress

The Voice of Progress was formed in 1975 and is wholly run and supported by volunteers.

They produce fortnightly recordings of local news, taken with permission from local newspapers and also produce a talking magazine put together by their very talented and passionate volunteers.

They are looking for volunteers who would like to be technicians operating and running their sound and computer systems in the modern fully digital studio.

Candidates would be expected to work for two hours every two months on a roster basis with other technicians.

Volunteer speaker – Guide Dogs

Do you enjoy talking to people? Maybe you like delivering information to interested individuals? Could you see yourself speaking to a small group of people about the work of a life changing charity?

Guide Dogs are looking for people who would be interested in training to become volunteer speakers for the local mobility team.

This role is vital in helping to spread the message about the services the charity provides and how a guide dog can change a person’s life.

Speakers have the ability to enthuse and encourage others to become involved with the charity either through volunteering themselves, fundraising or perhaps applying for one of their services.

Child contact centre volunteer – Littlehampton Child Contact Centre

Can you spare one Saturday morning a month?

Volunteers are needed to join the Littlehampton Child Contact Centre team.

The centre is a safe, friendly place where children of separated families can spend time with their non-resident parent.

They meet between 9.30am and 12.30pm at Littlehampton Baptist Church Hall on the first and third Saturday of each month.

Applications are sought from both men and women; two references and a DBS will be required.
