You may think that the most convenient choice would be a laptop, then you always have the option to take it out of the house should you desire.

The issue with this is, if the laptop is simply going to act as a desktop with the rare need for portability, you can get significantly more for your money by choosing the latter.

Another advantage of choosing a desktop if you work from home on a regular basis, is the ergonomic side.

Desktops are designed to allow the user to look at the screen at eye level enabling proper positioning of back, neck and arms.

Laptops have come a long way and now boast excellent battery life, as well as wireless cards which allow you to access the internet on the move.
