ST BARNABAS: MyLife events to encourage people to use Day Hospice

For many people January is the perfect time of year to try out something new; a time when we start to think about living our lives as fully as possible.

That might be by taking up a new hobby, accepting a new challenge, or visiting a new place.

At the start of the year we decided to launch a new project called MyLife, aimed at encouraging more people who may benefit from our services to come and visit the Day Hospice at St Barnabas House.

Throughout 2016 we will be running a series of events, open to people recently diagnosed with life-limiting illnesses and their carer.

The concept of these events is to celebrate positive living while providing a broader understanding of the services we offer at the hospice.

The Day Hospice team are aware that the idea of coming to a hospice, especially for those newly diagnosed, can often be a daunting prospect, so they have planned a series of light-hearted events to serve as an informal introduction to St Barnabas House.

We want to highlight the fact that the Day Hospice is a cheerful place and demonstrate that it is about living life as fully as possible.

Currently we have six MyLife events planned, with the first of those taking place on Monday (January 25) from 11am until 2pm.

This event will provide the opportunity to find out more about this exciting new project and how it can help you.

Come and indulge yourself with a piece of cake, a hand massage, or both!
