ST BARNABAS: Make a donation to St Barnabas when updating your will with our appeal

People often ask me about how they can make a donation to St Barnabas House, and the truth is that there are many different ways to do so.

In this week’s column, with our Will Writing Appeal fast approaching, I thought I would give you a little bit more information about how to make a gift in your will.

Gifts in wills are really important to St Barnabas House.

In fact, many people are surprised to hear that the care costs of one in every four patients are paid for by gifts in wills.

It is testament to the great generosity of so many people throughout our local community that St Barnabas continues to be the wonderful, thriving, modern service that it is.

Throughout October, commencing during Hospice Care Week (October 3 to 9), a number of local solicitor’s firms are offering appointments to help you make or update a standard will, in return for a donation to the hospice.

There is no obligation to include a gift to St Barnabas when writing your will, but we continue to be eternally grateful to those who do.

Bookings for our Will Writing Appeal need to be made directly with your chosen solicitor by the start of October, and the sooner you book your appointment, the better.
